After 16 years, it's time for phase two of the JD Boson Courts. Funds are being raised to build 4 pickleball courts. In addition, a much-needed restroom will be constructed and the eight tennis courts will be repaired and resurfaced.

Initially established in 2007 as a Project Specific Fund, it became a Donor Advised Fund in 2009 to support the ACE (Architecture, Construction, Engineering) Program with Marshfield High School. Its goal is to support the MHS ACE program in keeping its tools & equipment safe and up to date in the constantly evolving world of construction.

This scholarship fund was created in memory of Adam D. Steiner. Adam's true passion surfaced after beginning his career in agricultural technology and robotic dairy farming equipment. His family created this scholarship in Adam's memory to support an educational path for students wanting to advance in the agricultural field. Adam had great respect for the family farm and special consideration will be given to those individuals who grew up on a working farm. He left us far too soon, but we are hoping his legacy will live on for many generations.

Beverly and Marvin graduated from MHS in 1960 & 1957 respectfully. Their experience with their teacher, Adolph A. Vorba, was so memorable that they have created a memorial scholarship in his honor. Marvin went on to receive a Ph.D. in mathematics and taught at the University of Miami for over 55 years.

Established by Alec Salamonski’s parents as a memorial to their son who was killed by a distracted driver in November of 2006. Alec was active in Skills USA, Youth Apprenticeship, Computer Sciences, and a 2005 graduate of Marshfield H.S. Alec was employed as a computer technician. As a high school senior, he represented WI at the National Skills USA Competition in Kansas City in Computer Maintenance. He had a lighthearted sense of humor and unforgettable smile. Preference will be given to those who participated in these activities and pursuing a computer-related field.

During her years in Marshfield she taught at Marshfield Junior High from 1976 until 1994, and then at Marshfield Senior High from 1994 until 2007.

Community Gardens Project

Community Gardens Project

The goal of the Community Garden Program is to make it easy to grow your own healthy fruits and veggies. We provide Organic growing techniques using square foot gardening, water, compost and mulch to community gardeners in 75 raised beds at three sites around our community. First Presbyterian Church on Lincoln/Adler, Good Shepherd on McMillan and Church of Christ on Felker. Master Gardeners offer problem solving advice and gardening tips throughout the season.

FHC RentReady Program

FHC RentReady Program

The purpose of the RentReady program is to support those in long-term recovery from substance use with securing their own housing lease with a local landlord. Participants receive budget education, create a rental history, are connected to peer support (recovery coach and/or peer specialist), and the program covers the security deposit and first month’s rent. Family Health Center of Marshfield, Inc. (FHC) oversees the program in collaboration with numerous community partners.

The MACCI Leadership Marshfield class of 2025 team of Lindsey Safford ( Forward Bank), Abby Meyer (Staab Construction), Bill Thomas (PreventionGenetics), and Connie Michalski (First State Bank) know Griese Park Playground is beloved community gathering place, but recognize the need for a safer, updated playground. The team has dreamed up a vision for a new playground promoting overall health, wellness, and inclusion for all ages and abilities. Together, with support from local businesses, individuals, and non-profits, a new playground will be built. Griese Park Playground will continue on as a local asset, a regional destination, and a new community favorite. The Griese Park playground, constructed initially in 2000, is nearing the end of its expected lifespan for wooden playgrounds, (10-15 years). We thank the many local businesses and the leadership team that established the initial playground 24 years ago.

Jerry was valedictorian of the MHS class of 1953. He had a passion for teaching chemistry which he did for 37 yrs at Winona State. Jerry said, "Enjoy it. Have fun with it. Do something you love, & when you do, it will come through to your students". Jerry passed away in 2013 at the age of 78. Established in Jerry Witt's will, this scholarship is for students pursuing natural science careers such as chemistry, physics, forestry, geology, zoology, biochemistry, microbiology, astronomy, or biology. The student must be a graduating senior from MHS going to a public university. Financial need will be considered.

Preference to current members of the club or directly related to a member of the club OR interested in outdoor winter activities.

This scholarship was established as a bequest in Mr. Crossman's will. This scholarship for students going on to college is for students who are graduating from Marshfield, Spencer, Stratford or Auburndale schools and have participated in National Honor Society.

The Marshfield Area Pickleball Community has set a community fundraising goal of $300,000 to provide 12-outdoor court pickleball complex at Braem Park. It is our vision to put the Marshfield area on the “Wisconsin Best” Pickleball map, by providing space for 2-day tournaments, youth and adults camps, and even large events like Badger State Games. Pickleball has been the fastest-growing sport in the US and has been seen in the Marshfield Area too with over 500 occasional, regular, and visiting picklers, and growing! A sport for all ages and skill levels, it bridges the generation gap. Pickleball is a highly social sport, which fosters a sense of community, while providing players with numerous health benefits.

Sarah Grace and Emma Louise Anderson saw their first dance performance at the Mother’s Day Art Fair in 1992. They instantly fell in love with dance and asked their parents to sign them up. The Marshfield School Based Mental Health Consortium’s vision is to provide mental health services at school for students who may have barriers to care. School district Student Services Teams help assess needs and work with parents to refer students to the consortium for mental health therapy. The consortium coordinates services and works closely with therapists to best serve students.
